Every single person we met working with Proud African Safaris is exceptional. From Nandi to Zubeda to Adam to Daudi – each person was beyond exceptional, warm, welcoming, and utterly professional. Your team made our trip a dream. Zubeda greeted us at the airport and welcomed us with bracelets and warmth – both she and Adam escorted us home safely and greeted us for the safari as well, as they introduced us to Daudi. He was amazing. His expertise in the land and the animals, along with his own personal life story and insights into his Maasai culture – were a treasure. He was an excellent driver and guide, and I couldn’t imagine a better way to get to know Tanzania or the Serengeti. He helped us really enjoy our safari – giving us the freedom and flexibility to create the trip we wanted, in real-time. He was also a fierce animal spotter – and found us cats, when we were cat crazy! He was patient with us and always – ever present with helpful information and guidance, as well as comfortable silences. He really was wonderful.
In terms of planning the trip itself – as you know, (Nandi was) amazing. The best customer service experience I have ever had. Sincerely. (As you can see, everyone loved the t-shirts and hats and wears them all the time
).
In terms of itinerary – ours worked out perfectly – thanks to (Nandi’s) planning and the team’s accommodation recommendations as well as Daudi’s welcomed suggestion that it was our safari to shape as we wish. He also informed us – while we were on safari of the Olduvai Gorge – which we opted to go to on New Year’s Day (and, that was a definite highlight for us.)
In terms of accommodations – it worked out really well for us to stay 2 consecutive nights at the Ndutu Lodge – since we were on the road driving a lot – we all really enjoyed the opportunity to spend 2 nights at the same place and not have to wake up at 6am on one of those days. The Ndutu Lodge itself was wonderful; great rooms and an amazing view – access to animals, etc. The tea they serve there is delicious and refreshing. We chilled out here one full day and didn’t feel like we missed anything because all of the animals are right out our windows. It’s also an important spot for animal research and preservation and it was great to learn more about that, while we were there. The gift shop there is also really nice.
The Bougainvillea Lodge had *amazing* food. Accommodations were beautiful as well – but, this was the best food, by far.
The traveling camp was my personal favorite spot – and it’s hard to say that because everything was so great that to pick a favorite spot feels unfair; but alas, its true – I loved arriving there and being greeted with warm towels, I loved the tents themselves and the shower/bathroom, and I loved waking up there in the morning – it was my favorite morning in Africa. Thank you for switching to this lodge at the last minute (once you realized the other location wasn’t up to standards) – it was a dream.
As you can see, we were utterly pleased, impressed and delighted. We will highly recommend your team and hope that the connection made between the folks in Tanzania and my family there will produce a lot of great business for your exceptional company.
Thank you for everything!
