Katikati is a mobile tented camp in the Central Serengeti, and is located in a campsite known as MaKoma. Although it is technically considered a mobile camp, it has been situated in this pristine location for nearly three years. It was strategically located to cover the vast of the Serengeti Plains. Our clients agree that it is a very comfortable accommodation that provides a unique opportunity to experience a real safari camp. It is only a two hour scenic drive from the historic Olduvai Gorge Museum and also the Western Corridor’s Grumeti River. There is a main lodge, and twenty tents – each with their own end-suite facilities and hard wood floors. The “mess” tent is located in the centre of the camp where meals are served. Each evening a fire is lit where you may relax under the stars, think back to the excitement of your day and perhaps share stories with other guests. At night in your tent, it will be spine-tingling to hear the low rumble of lions roaring in the distance!
